Climate change is the greatest threat to the future of our planet and without action we will not be able to reverse its effects.
This year at the UN conference in Durban, countries can take action to reduce harmful emissions, help create thousands of low carbon jobs and support poorer nations to cope with the effects of a changing planet.
This won’t happen without leadership.
That’s why Labour is calling on David Cameron to start showing some leadership on climate change.
This means:
* Seizing the opportunity to build a low carbon economy;
* Pushing for a second period of the Kyoto protocol and working towards a global deal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions;
* Delivering on climate finance.
